Right around the corner from our apartment is a wonderful local bakery. This morning we decided it would be fun to head over and get some croissants for breakfast. We left at 8:55am. When we arrived at the bakery just after 9am, there was a long line. I immediately thought it didn’t open until 9am. Boy was I wrong! The bakery opened at 6:00am but they only let one customer in at a time (think Seinfeld Soup Nazi episode). Adrian and Sabrina went in looking for some croissants. They quickly found out that the croissants sold out by 6:35am and needed to quickly pivot. Adrian used his German to order some curlers, chocolade streusel kuchen (chocolate cake) and buns and we now know better for next time if croissants are on the menu:)
