It’s hard to believe that we’ve been in Germany for just over 1 week! We arrived safely and are starting to settle in. Adrian, Sabrina and I were upgraded to Premium Economy Plus and Cooper survived his first flight relatively unscathed. When we arrived in Munich, people kept saying ‘handsome hund’! Hopefully that bodes well for his stay in Germany.
Our apartment is located in a great neighbourhood with stores, bars, parks and playgrounds within a 10 minute walk. The RB Leipzig stadium is literally in our backyard. Not sure if the Germans tailgate before games but I imagine our hood will be a happening place on Game Day! Since arriving we’ve been trying to partake in as many German traditions as possible. We’re eating sausages, and schnitzel, drinking hefeweizen and taking the Sban.
Grocery shopping has been an experience. Yesterday it took me 45 minutes to find 10 items. Let’s just say that google translate has become my best friend!
Sabrina started school this week. So far so good! One of her teachers speaks to the children in English and the other in German. Adrian and I imagine she’ll be helping us with our German soon.
Auf Wiedersehen
